I'm not a specialist, but I think that yours works only with later models, like RD3 front CD player.

I'm sad to say that the only one CD changer which is recognized by Blaupunkt 2040 is Pu-2145B.

 

Have you just tried to connect your 2293 ? Maybe it will work but I don't think so because 2293 is usually intended for car radio RD3.

 

So in my mind the best thing you can do is to find a CD changer 2145.

I'm sorry but I don't know where is the difference between A and B.

 

But if that could help you I have PU-2145 B with my car audio 2040 and there is no problem.

The installation was fast and easy, I only have selected "CDC ON" on car audio's screen. In order to do that you just have to use the button on both sides of the screen. This is the same process that when you change hour.

After doing this the cd changer worked perfectly as well as the command on the wheel.

Mayby it depends what kind of 2040 We are going to use. Mayby "A" works with 2040(t1 top) and "B" works wit 2040(t1 niv).T1 top is witout little screen on the radio and T1 niv is with little screen.What kind do You have?
