Mes besoins

Hey guys, I need some clarification before bringing my car back to the store. I suspect I'm going to be fooled by a store I've trusted my car for a few years.

My problems started about a month ago after I made my own change of coolant on my car six months ago. My radiator in my 2000 civic is about 6 years old. While driving about a month ago, I noticed that my temperature gauge oscillated between forty% of everyday operating temperature and about 60% to H. After being at the store, they diagnosed a faulty water pump and plug Radiator was old / failing. Replace both and put the new coolant in the system. Driving from l. at. car for a few weeks without problems, until the other day, I drove for about forty five minutes without overheating problems until I was idling in an online driving, I I noticed that my temperature gauge had risen to about 70%. At H. I turned on my heater, which blew hot hair in the cabin and lowered the temperature. I drove home, turned off the heater to try to diagnose anything, and my car was dirty at normal operating temperatures (at least, the gauge was normal). I guessed that since l. at. my car's temperature was ok while driving, maybe it was a faulty fan? I turned off the heater to try to diagnose anything and my car was dirty at normal operating temperature (at least, the gauge was normal). Good evening,

Good evening,

Temperature remains high on Honda Civic year 2000 despite water pump change.

Regarding Honda Civic for the United Kingdom, I take the example of the 1.6 iS engine.

It is also possible that the thermostat (calorstat or thermostatic valve) may be low in opening at 84 ° C.

This calorstat has a spring that relaxes with the T ° of the coolant. It is possible that the opening is not fully realized.

Logically this calorstat is changed during a change of water pump.

Also, the fan motor starts up with a contactor probe located on the thermostat body. This sensor allows the operation of the fan located on the engine cooling radiator.

On the front of the cylinder head, there are 2 sensors, one that allows the indication on the dashboard, the other that is connected to the PCM engine management module (ECT sensor).

The radiator should not be scaled too, Honda Civic years 2000 will soon be 20 years old.

Enjoy the rest of the evening - ( See the drawing for Honda Civic 1.6 iS year 2000 )
