Hi, guys. I'm from Serbia and over the 8 year period, I've collected more than 60,000 pictures of cars, busses, trucks, formulas, tractors, motorcycles, mopeds, armoured fighting vehicles, dumpers etc, while also trying to cover as many different models as it have been possible; Every picture is precisely named with brand first, and then goes name of the model and production year (if I knew). There are over 11,000 brands from 132 countries/territories at this moment (even from those like Bermudas, Swaziland, Bahrain, Mongolia, Puerto Rico, Oman, Guernsey, etc). In a few months, I am willing to share this on the internet with anyone who's interested (Just tell me which topic). Size of it is about 2 DVD's (8.6 GB). This is the first time I'm revealing this project, and I think this is the right place.

This site was excellent source. However, some cars I haven't managed to find. The car which I most looking for is Vinland Saga, a car made in Iceland in 1960 by Haraldur Magnússon. Just 19 units were made. It was something built up of AC Cobra parts or it's maybe only replica of it. Also, I miss many pictures of French brands made before WW2 (like Margaria, Henry-Dubray, Lahaussois), which I've discovered in wikipedia's ''Defunct motor vehicle manufacturers of France''. Of course, you can help me to find the obscure makes from your countries which I'm not aware of (i.e. a small production scooter from the 60s, a tractor which no farmer have ever heard of, a bus coachbuilder with 2 busses built, and so on). As for the missing countries, for example, I have nothing from Macau (any scooter maybe??), Honduras, Panama, Nicaragua (maybe there's some bus coachbuilder), and of course 70% of Africa and all of the Pacific islands. I have every single country of Europe, except Vatican.

Personally, I possess some of the rarest truck/bus pictures of Yugoslav production which one can't find anywhere - 60s TAM and FAP models which had vanished from the streets 30 years ago. My Dad has a big collection of catalogues from all around the world.

I hope some of you want to help me with contribution to make the biggest automotive collection ever! Salut :)

By now, this is it from my collection. There's also ''Fabrique de Voitures Jean Wagner'', but he wasn't maker, only distributor of Benz cars.

I suppose, since this is the French forum, that there's Quebec people on this site, too. I have small number of brands from Quebec, so I need help to find Quebecoise motorcycles, tractors etc.

I think Jean Wagner, from Diekirch, was first a coachbuilder, then assembler of Benz and Mercedes-Benz cars.

Since this is the car forum, let me know if I can put pictures of busses, motorcycles, etc. I found very interesting examples of these vehicles, too. By the way, it's very hard to find picture of interesting rare car, since those guys on the ''auto mythiques exception'' page (on this site) are having incredible knowledge about automotive industry. I'll try my best. So, here's some rarities:

Hello Nale,

Are you sure the Epocar is a car from Serbia ? I thought it came from San Marino...

Yes, but this is Serbian brand. Both Serbian and Sammarinese brands are making the replicas, but the Serbian ones are Jaguar & Mercedes replicas while Sammarinese is a Morgan replica. The difference is also in the name of the models: Il Conte and La Contessa (SRB) and Symbol (RSM). This is how Sammarinese Epocar looks like:

Sorry, but the golden-painted car is not a Mean ; it is the Mistral, made in the northern France by the belgian coachbuilder Edouard Arguello.

What is exactly the Zastava 101 Special ? Is it more potent than the classic 101 ? Is it a car for racing use ?

''Special'' only had better equipment than the other 101 models (Super, Confort, Mediteran) and a 1300cc engine (the other had 1100cc), so it was suitable to be tuned. It had these two lines on the grill as well, that's the outer difference. There was also a Zastava 850cc model. I think only 2300 or 3200 unites of Special were made and I saw the last one 20 years ago. 101 Skala replaced all of these models later.

Hello, Nale. Are the Zastava 101 Special and 1300 Sport the same car ? In France, the 1300 Sport was imported as "Zastava Nogaro" - Nogaro is a french race track...

Guys, this topic is becoming very informative. I didn't know for Indonesian car, so there's much chance that I'm missing alot of rare cars ;) As for the Zastavas, I didn't know about 750 being made in Turkey :non: but there have been other model which I think nobody knows: There was an unsuccesfull attempt with assembling/producing Zastava 1900B (Fiat clone) but we were relatively poor at the time (even though I think Serbia is poorer today than in the 60s  ), so government decided to produce 1300 instead:

http://www.dodaj.rs/f/Y/Yu/3vP5Me29/zastava1300.jpg

Interesting fact is that Colombian factory Leonidas Lara had bought a licence from Zastava (and not from Fiat!) to produce 1300 model, it was around 1970.

There was a cooperation with Poles and FSO factory in the 1970s, so it turned out something like this:

http://shrani.si/files/zastava125vneo.jpg

Yes it is, Zastava Nogaro is in fact Special because it was more suitable for foriegn market, but we never called it here ''Sport''.

And I'd recommend this movie to all car fans, 'cause you probably don't know about it:

http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/sr/0/00/Nacionalna_klasa.jpg

It is one of the most popular Yugoslav movies, glorifying the 750 model as an eternal symbol of Yugosocialism :)

English subtitles included ;)

MDI is based in France, not Luxembourg. But it has some connections with it.

Is there any good French movies about cars & races except TAXI? Tell me, I'm also a big cinema lover.

Now, let's post some more:

images.jpg.d2b217672c56977ffed8073bf7867532.jpg

First, let me say that this is Erad, since I don't have picture of a car I'm gonna write about.

In 1992, a factory called "Poliester" from Priboj in Serbia (the same little town that makes FAP trucks) bought a licence from Erad and begun to make Poli-10, a copycat which they planned to produce in matter of hundreds of thousands. It had 10hp Kubota engine, 2.5m of lenghth, 400kg of weight, and needed only 2.3 Litres of diesel per 100km. The car was also known as "Mališa" (Little boy). It was "perfect for Socialist working class", as they used to say. But in 1992, economic sanctions and embargo on import of goods send both Poli and working class to history, and sealed the destiny of maybe the cheapest car on Earth. It was impossible to make it since most of the parts were made either in Croatia, Slovenia, Bosnia or Macedonia, so when the war started, the factory managers predicted what was going to happen, so they built only 30 experimental units of this extremely rare car. I never saw one in my life, and I can't find the picture.

A single prototype that was built by a factory in outskirts of Belgrade, which is famous for making elevators (I had one in my building). Even BMW was interested to produce this, but the brainless stupid Balkan primitives didn't have much enthusiasm. But they're still in elevator business. :ange:
