Per favore scrivi l'intervento per lo meno pure in italiano , internazionali si... però pensiamo anche a chi non ha molta confidenza col computer e con le lingue straniere .

Daccordo Enzomanz vede portare su confine nostro legò memorie al Piatto.Io temo che il mio intervento sul ferrari di Starrabba, qualcuno ha spaventato eccetto Lei, quello mi ha risposto ricordando avergli parlato direttamente.......

Non staremo mica perdendo tempo e combinando un gran pasticcio a scrivere nelle lingue dei nostri amici stranieri ????

 

Credo di avere capito quanto hai scritto sul barone Pucci , chi ha avuto il piacere di conversare con lui é rimasto sicuramente affascinato dalla sua capacità di intrattenere e divertire i presenti , con la calsse di un vero "gattopardo" ma in quanto ad esattezza e precisione riguardo i dettagli.... Spesso ascoltando il Professore Vaccarella e ponendogli alcune domande specifiche su colori o altro , i suoi ricordi non coincidevano con i miei . Occorre anche pensare che noi Targamaniaci e noi modellisti abbiamo vista migliaia di volte le fotografie di auto con le quali loro hanno corso soltanto una gara ! Che i nostri ricordi sono recenti e supportati dalle foto , loro devono ritornare indietro con la memoria di 30 , 40 e passa anni !! Comunque il Professore ricorda in maniera eccezionale i duelli , i sorpassi , i punti dei vari circuiti sui quali ha corso e vinto , mentre la memoria del Principe Starrabba , anche per i dettagli, é eccezionale , ( come ha dichiarato di recente in una intervista sulla Targa Florio e sulla situazione attuale della corsa Siciliana : "...vivo nel passato per potere accettare questo presente... "

However the Teacher remembers in exceptional way the duels, the passing, the points of the various circuits on which you/he/she has raced and defeated, while the Prince's memory Starrabba, also for the details, it is exceptional, (as you/he/she has declared recently in an interview on the Plate Florio and on the actual situation of the Sicilian run: "...I live in the past to be able to accept this present... "

posto ciò che Targamaniac ha cercato di fare in precedenza senza successo, si tratta di un fermo immagine tratto da un vecchio filmato in 8mm, che dovrebbe confutare quanto fin'ora detto e cioè che la banda longitudinale sulla Ferrari 500 TRC del Principe Starrabba e Cortese durante la Targa del '58, non era verde, ma rossa.

 

Un'altro mistero risolto? Certamente si tratta di un nuovo elemento.

Non ho la sicurezza al 100% che la Brasiliana avesse la banda verde , ma ricordo bene le parole del Principe Starrabba in quell'occasione.

Peraltro ho una buona esperienza di fermo-immagine , soprattutto dei filmati di quegli anni . Spesso mi sono ritrovato con foto si a colori , ma con colori inattendibili tanto da preferire il salvataggio in B/N. Se osservi bene quello che hai catturato noterai che la banda sulla parte superiore appare rossa , un rosso comunque scuro ( ma tutto il fotogramma è sottoesposto , mantre nella parte inferiore e laterale del muso appare verdastra ....

La foto aggiunge senz'altro un elemento che sembrerebbe avvalorare l'ipotesi di Andrea , ma non lo prenderei come prova certa.

Oltre alle parole del Principe , peccato non ci sia ancora Franco Ragusa che era con me quella sera ad ascoltralo , rimane il mio ragionamento circa la presenza della macchina in America ed in Italia nel 1958 .

Con l'occasione del forum e dei suoi sviluppi futuri ho intenzione di incontrare il Principe Starrabba. Oltre a chiedergli della Ferrari 500 mondial con la quale ho discusso con Tool43 durante i miei primi interventi , gli riproporrò senz'altro la domanda sul colore della brasiliana!

Tutto é possibile e come dicevamo nell'intervento precedente , i ricordi dei protagonisti possono risentire degli anni passati . In considerazione del dettagliato racconto del Principe Starrabba , nel quale affermava di avere acquistato la Ferrari per riverniciarla successivamente non é da escludere che questo sia avvenuto dopo la partecipazione (con i colori originali bianco/rosso ) alla Targa Florio .

Come affermi tu : Un'altro mistero risolto ? Certamente si tratta di un nuovo elemento.

- Tool43 je voudrais te demander un service . Est-ce que tu connais le couler de la bande de la Ferrari du Prince Starrabba nommée "la Brasiliana".

La voiture qui j'ai posté dans mes premieres fois était blanche et je suis ben sur pascque-ce c'est le Prince qu'il m'ai dit que le couleur été vert -Est-il possible que Starrabba se trompe? La voiture dans la photo qui a posté Targamaniac est-elle ce la du Prince ? Je pense qu'il s'agit de la meme Ferrari mais avant que le Prince la va acheter en Amerique du Sud. -

0682MDTR : Celle de Gaetano Starrabba, ancienne voiture de l'Ecurie Francorchamps (ex 24 heures du Mans 1957 n°28) que Starrabba rachète en 1958 soit à Swaters, soit chez Ferrari. A l'origine, elle était jaune avec une bande noire puis repeinte sous Starraba. Il est possible qu'il est demandé une bande verte, tout est possible chez Ferrari. Son témoignage n'est pas à négliger, les photos couleurs sont rares et c'est une voiture qui l'a possédé et qui l'a détruite.

 

Celle de Targamaniac (0706MDTR) est l'autre des 24 heures du Mans 1957 (n°27) mais une vraie américaine (celle du NART puis de Mike Garber), repeinte en blanche et rouge représentant les couleurs de la Suisse (d'ailleur le drapeau est peint sur les ailes avant). Les dernières 500 TRC ont été vendues aux Etats Unis.

 

La première 500 TRC de Starrabba (0678MDTR) prend une peinture similaire. Beaucoup de 500 TRC ont ce genre de peinture, c'était la mode : 0668MDTR, 0682MDTR, 0686MDTR, 0692MDTR, 0694MDTR, 0696MDTR, 0698MDTR, 0706MDTR, 0708MDTR (Rouge avec une bande rouge).

Tool43 è un grande esperto di telai e teatarossa ,

e dobbiamo tenere conto del suo parere. I telai quindi della "Brasiliana" e della tua foto non coincidono , si tratta quindi di vetture diverse.

Rimane il dubbio dovuto al fermo-immagine di Miki . Anche Tool conviene che i colori di questi filmini anche se indicativi vanno presi con le pinze , per cui la ricerca continua. Mi sono attivato contattando Giancarlo Galeazzi , altro esperto delle testarossa di Starrabba , spero che la e.mail che ho recupoerato sul sito del suo ospedale sia ancora attiva , mentre è mia intenzione sentire il Principe , che tra le altre cose può dare un notevole contributo al Forum .... Il Professore , come racconta sovente , alla Targa voleva guidare la Ferrari da 3 litri, non condividendo le scelte del D.S.Ferrari dell'epoca. Per averla racconta che dovette insistere e convincere personalmente il Drake che era la 330 P3 l'arma per battere le Porsche. Non si sbagliava e dopo le alterne vicende dovute alle pioggia che aveva rimescolato le carte , avrebbe sicuramente condotto la rossa P3 alla vittoria se Bandini ,prima di cedergli il volante per l'ultimo turno di guida , non fosse stato gettato fuori pista.....da una Dino privata !

Alla Targa del 1967 Vaccarella fu costretto al ritiro per avere urtato un marciapiede all'ingresso di Collesano. Si racconta che si fosse distratto per salutare , ma lui stesso ha sempre smentito questa leggenda, la curva era infatti estremamente difficile enon era possibile contemporaneamente tenere il volante , scalare di marcia e salutare il pubblico ! Furono i freni a tradire il Professore che pur avendo già un notevole vantaggio sulle meno potenti Porsche 910 continuava a tirare , ma la macchina era molto pesante e la discesa verso Campofelice era già imiziata da molti chilometri...

On raconte qu'il se fût distrait pour saluer, mais il même il a toujours démenti cette légende, la courbe était en effet enon extrêmement difficile était possible en même temps tenir le volant, dégressif de marche et saluer le public! Mio congnato, mi raccontava ieri sera che lui è stato un allievo nell'istituto del "Preside" il quale insegnava inglese; ebbene quando bisognava fare "il compito scritto" ed i ragazzi non volevano farlo, comincavano a chidergli della targ e ............. il compito andava a farsi benedire ......

Tu martedì p.v. lo vedrai, ebbene potresti chiedergli di pubblicare un'altro suo libro sulla Targa, ma per favore con foto a colori.

Costerà di più, chi se ne frega ! Abbiamo speso una vagonata di "piccioli" comprando altri libri oltre al suo.

Ho una foto 1971 è una stampa del Giornale di Sicilia. Eccola

Hi all,

a little correction I didn't made last time about Vaccarella in 1966.

The car which caused the P3 off-the-road (in the hands of Bandini), wasn't a private Dino, but the "notorious" #168 Ferrari GTO '64, driven by Marsala.

 

Then, the image-stop with the '58 Starrabba 500 TRC, wasn't mine, but of Targamaniac; I only posted it, bacause Andrea Didn't be able at that time.

 

And last, the beautiful Le Mans photos depict #9, that don't is a Ferrari, but a Maserati type 63/12cil.

Salve,

una piccola precisazione che non ho fatto prima a proposito di Vaccarella nel 1967.

L'auto che causò l'uscita di strada della P3 (guidata da Bandini), non fu una Dino privata, ma la "famigerata" Ferrari GTO '64 N. 168 di Marsala.

 

Ancora, desidero precisare che il fermo immagine riguardante la TRC di Starrabba alla Targa del '58, è di Targamaniac ed io l'ho soltanto postato in quanto lui, in quel momento, avena qualche problma tecnico, che glielo impediva.

 

Per ultimo, le belle foto di Le Mans ritraggono la N.9, che non è una Ferrari, ma una Maserati tipo 63/12 cil.

1970 : riprende la sua collaborazione con la Ferrari, quì a Pergusa dove nell'inverno del 1969 porta la nuova Ferrari 512 S per testarla al clima dolce della Sicilia (fu un week-end di pioggia e freddo.....) , dentro la vettura Arturo Merzario,il Professore è riconoscibile dietro .

Nel giugno 1997 alle Terme di Caracalla per la rievocazione della prima vittoria della Ferrari

 

ed allo Stadio dei Marmi per il cinquantenario Ferrari scherza con arturo Merzario

 

Nel 2001 alla Targa Storica di nuovo accanto Arrturo Merzario sopra un Afa Romeo 33tt12

e di nuovo al volante della sua Alfa

un ricordo insieme con gli amici Giacinto Gargano e Nino Colombo

 

2002 rassegna di Goodwood con Jacky Ickx

 

Nel 2003 durante la cena per i suoi 70 anni con l'amico fraterno Giacinto Gargano , conservatore del Museo della Targa Florio di Collesano

 

2004 : Collesano per l'innaugurazione del museo insieme ad latri vincitori della Targa , il Barone Pucci , Sandro Munari e Totò Riolo

 

2006 : con Mauro Forghieri , Nanni Galli e Jacki Ickx durante le manifestazioni (si fa per dire....) del centenario della Targa

 

Quest'estate sul circuito di Fiorano con la Auto Avio per festeggiare i 60 anni della casa di Maranello

 

 

 

Così la Ferrari ha onorato il Professore Vaccarella , questo manifesto era affisso per le strade di Maranello nel giugno 2007

Buona sera,meglio tardi che mai ! 33VAC credo che la prima foto sia del

1968 la macchina ritratta e una ford gt 40 scuderia John Wyer N°63

piloti P. Hawkins D.Hobbs non partita ,la seconda e sicuramente del 73

la Daren verde in secondo piano lo conferma,potrebbe essere la ormai

per quell'anno vecchia OMS un prototipo costruito in sicilia con il muso

rifatto .

Caro Ranocchio, si, il Professore fece testacoda davanti ai miei occhi, ma non ricordo proprio se spense il motore; ci fu un attimo di panico, qualcuno lo aiutò a manovrare e ripartì dopo pochi secondi.

Perchè avrebbe dovuto essere squalficato? Stiamo scherzando? Queste cose alla Targa erano nella norma.

E Moss allora nel '55? Vinse la Targa solo grazie all'aiuto di un gruppo di tifosi e appassionati SICILIANI che lo tirarono fuori da una scarpata (vadduni), altrimenti "kartofen" come diciamo noi in tedesco.

Enzo voglio dirti che sapevo che quella TRC bianca e rossa ritratta in USA nel mese di ottobre 58 non era quella di Starrabba,telaio n°0706

successivamente venduta a Gene Parsons 05/1960 e ridipinta blu con

la fascia bianca.Era solo per suscitare curiosità comunqe nel filmato

in mio possesso si vedono pure porsche, maserati, ferrari, alfa che

mantengono anche se riversati male i loro colori originali. Targamaniac
